Mia's New Friend

The three questions we were asked the most were 1) Are you having a boy or girl? 2) Do you have names for each since you don't know what you are having?! 3) How is Mia going to take this?

My answers were 1) We are going to be surprised. 2) We have options but nothing is final. Then, I would assure them with that our baby would, indeed, have a name the day he/she was born. 3) She will be fine; we adopted her from a family with a baby.

Truth be told, I was a NERVOUS WRECK about Mia co-existing with a new baby. Mia greeted me every morning and night with jumps, licks and would consistently leave bruises on my legs and feet. This became challenging the larger I got and the more I had to explain to my doctor where these bruises were coming from. I had visions of Mia doing this to a brand new baby.
The day Jack came home, I was terrified of Mia. I just knew she was going to get her running start and attack me with all of her doodle love, but she proved me wrong!

Turns out, Mia is calm around Jack. She loves to lie near him and alerts me when he is fussing (as if I can’t hear it).
Mia loved on Jack before we knew he was Jack

Mia still begs for attention

Jack doesn't appreciate Mia returning the favor.
Here is to many more of these moments!
